Kang Rohman once posted about Increasing Your Visitors With Meta Tag and Customizing Blogger Meta Tag Title. Now I have the other tip in optimizing meta tag for blogger so that your blog visitors will come from search engine. Installation of the meta tags is the ancient way in SEO, but it is still effective to attract visitors. That’s why I discuss this thing today and I think it is no wrong.
The following tip has been applied on Kang Rohman’s blog and has been proven to increase the visitors from search engine especially Google. This tip is better compared with normal meta tag. Remember, this tip applies only on Blogger, not on others such as Wordpress, etc.

The basic trick of this technique is adding the Blog Title into meta tag keyword and meta tag description. Formerly, Kan Rohman wrote, that usually installation of meta tag description and keyword is as follow:

<meta content='your keywords here' name='keywords'/>

Example like this:

Shortcut to open Link in new tab/window – This is light information but it may be so useful for you. By default, a link that is clicked will open a new page as directed but the previous page will be lost and that new page will appear instead. Some webmasters do not want that so they will set the link to be open in a new tab or window.
When we read an article or tutorial, we often find some links installed on the article or tutorial. We are often curious to open the links but we do not want to lose the previous page where the article or tutorial is on. The usual way to do is by right clicking the links, and then selecting Open Link In New Tab.

Besides the way above, there is a shortcut to do. You can click the links while you are holding the Ctrl on your keyboard (Ctrl + click link). This second way may be easier than the first way, but you still use your two hands (right and left hand) altogether to do that, right.
If you think the two ways are not convenient for you, there is another way. This way can be more practical than the two ways above. You only need to click the links by using the middle button of your mouse (middle click). With the middle button of your mouse, each and every link you click will open in new tab or window.

The CSS Image moving menu uses only the CSS code without JavaScript, so that it won’t burden your blog for loading.
This is only an example, the image and link address must be changed with yours. You have to adjust the CSS code with your template, the placement under header is not a must. Please determine the best position for your CSS Image moving menu.

Get ur Missing Widgets? Use Google Cache!!!

Missing Widgets? Use Google Cache! – Several days ago, Kang Rohman discussed about How to Upload Magazine Template R.1.5. One of the biggest worries in replacing the template is missing widgets that have been installed before. Actually, you do not need to worry very much about this because you can make many ways to save your widgets. Some of them have been discussed at How to backup your "Widgets" and Tips to change the template without deleting the Widgets.

If you forget or miss the steps above and you have missed your widgets, you can still use the other way such as using Google Cache. How to use Google cache? If your blog or website has been indexed, Google will have the copies of your blog or website. Here are the ways:

Please visit http://google.com or other Google address in your country
Type the text as follow in the search box:

cache:http://yourwebsiteURL.com

or
cache:yourwebsiteURL.com

e.g., if you want to know the cache of Kang Rohman’s blog, please type as follows:

cache:blogspottutorial.com
After you click “Search”, the caches that have been stored by Google will be displayed, below is the example of the Kang Rohman’s:
The last cache made by Google is on July 3, 2009. Therefore, if you replace the template today, the missing widget still can be viewed at the Google Cache.
Notice to the browser menu that you are using, click the View menu and then Page Source (For Firefox) or click View then Source (For Internet Explorer). The source code of your template will be displayed.
To know where the widget code that you use, you should read the post about How to backup your "Widgets".

Besides the above way, there is another similar way. The text you would type at search box is:

Your old posts in Google index will be displayed and then click on Cached.

This way is more complete because you can open your older posts. Therefore, now you do not need to worry about missing widgets when you replace the template.

Installing ads under posts - As informed in the previous post that blogger now has supported read more system, Kang Rohman remind you that my old posts related to “read more” function and code are no longer useful to be implemented in your blogger blogs. Those posts have been out of date and needs updating. One of the old posts to be updated is how to install ads under posts. Why does Kang Rohman highlight this thing? Because on post about Blogger Read More System yesterday, many commentators are worried about their Under-Post ads will not work properly again.

One to be remembered that this technique is not for only installing the ads, but also for installing banners, messages, subscription information, and others that are placed under posts. You also should know that the ads would not appear in the homepage, but under posts when the posts are displayed full by clicking the “Read More” link.

The technique used is usually as below:

Both are right because the additional code <p>…</p> is HTML code for paragraph or for making different lines. To install the ads, messages, or anything else, you have to add the additional code like this:

It’s very easy, right? So you do not need to worry about Blogger Read More system, because you can adapt.

As we know that now Blogger has supported the function to cut off the article or known as Read more function. But recently, the automatic Read more is more popular because the automatic Read more will cut off the posts automatically without doing anything.

If you want your blog has the automatic Read more function, you can follow the easy steps below. Even Kang Rohman has discussed it previously in another blog, at blogtemplate4u.

Login to blogger with your ID.
Click Layout
Click Edit HTML
Click Download Full Template and backup your template to anticipate if error occurs.

Ever since Google’s YouTube video sharing unit started trying to make some serious money in late 2007, it has mainly tried to place ads on videos produced by people who regularly create popular videos. (It doesn’t place ads on videos unless their creators specifically allow it.) Now that two-year-old YouTube Partner Program is being expanded to individual videos that suddenly become very popular—that go viral, as they say—whether it’s the African safari animal faceoff in “Battle at Kruger” (with 45 million views to date) or cutesy videos like “Otters holding hands.”

The move will open up YouTube monetization to tens of thousands of potential partners, up from thousands today, according to Tom Pickett, YouTube’s director of online sales and operations. It’s one more way Google hopes to make some money off its $1.6 billion purchase of YouTube, which hasn’t produced significant revenue as quickly as Google and its investors have hoped. “This really opens up the door for more people to participate in the program,” Pickett said today in a conference call with reporters.

Whether it pulls in the advertising will be another story. The ads will have to match the content pretty well, or they won’t be effective. Both publishers and advertisers have often complained that contextual ads on AdSense sites don’t always, well, fit the context. Two ads I just saw on Battle at Kruger were for a video game and a computer projector. UPDATE: I now see an African photo safari ad overlaid on the video itself, which I missed before. So I have to give YouTube props on that one. The display ad on the right is still the video game. But Google tells me not all the ads are contextual; some are demographically targeted.

What is actually compressed to CSS file? Take a look at one example as below:

If the comment avatar has not appeared yet in your blog, maybe your template has not supported this new feature. But don’t worry because you can add a modification to your template so you can solve this problem and Blogger Avatar will appear. The important thing is that Blogger has provided the facility to their machine.

Before we enter the installation section of template code modification, let’s notice some comparisons. Take one example, in this case, we will take the minima template code (the original blogger template) in old version with new version (avatar has worked), through the codes where Avatar code should be there:

Apparently, Blogger’s comment avatar still has a problem. The avatar will only appear if the commentators log in to blogger. It means the avatar will not appear if the commentators select the Name/URL or Anonymous, and the avatar will be viewed as a small favicon (16X16 pixel) if the commentators choose the option of OpenID,wordpress,Live jurnal, etc.
